Class: Mammalia
Order: Artiodactyla
Family: Suidae
Genus: Babyrousa
Species: 3-4

The babirusas are members of the pig family and can be found in the Indonesian islands.
the unique teeth of the male Babirusa have incredibly long canine teeth that protrude out from their mouth, they have two sets of long canine teeth, an upper and a lower set, with the upper set being the most unique.

Most animals with long canines just let them stick out the side of their mouth. The Babirusa takes a different approach as their upper teeth will grow through their snout from the inside, If the Babirusa isn’t careful, these unique upper canines will result in their demise.
Although the Babirusa is capable of accidentally killing themselves, their biggest threat is of the human variety.

for the males, if they did not used their canine teeth in daily activities to grind them down, the teeth can eventually grow so long that they can penetrate the animal's skull!. they refer
to live in tropical forests close to rivers. as they are similar to domestic pigs in behavior.

Male babirusa tend to live solitarily while adult females can be found in groups with young.
Groups of female and young babirusa may number up to 84 individuals, 1 or 2 piglets are porn in nests made of vegetation.

their diet is consisting of fruits as usually but they also eat grasses, leaves and small animals.
